taralyeTaralye, an RIDBC service is an oral-language centre for children who are deaf or hard of hearing in Victoria. The vision is that children who are deaf will listen, learn, and speak to their full potential. We do by offering audiology services, early-intervention services throughout Victoria, school-age intervention services, early-childhood programs (including kindergarten and school transition), and school-age program. Taralye, then known as The Advisory Council for Children with Impaired Hearing (Victoria) (ACCIH), was founded 50 years ago in 1968 by a group of parents and early childhood educators. On 1 February 2018, Taralye merged with Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) becoming an RIDBC service. The merger has strengthened early-intervention services and expanded coverage throughout Victoria.
